Your Are Good Soldier...
"Waka Waka" is based upon a traditional African soldiers' song named "Zamina mina (Zangalewa)", a 1986 makossa hit for Cameroonian group Golden Sounds. Speculation is that Shakira learned of Zamina mina after Dominican Republic group Las Chicas Del Can released their merengue version of the song called “El negro no puede.
